Evan Lowry is an energy and engineering subject matter expert for EnergyDegrees.org. As a licensed professional engineer, he has experience in the energy industry as a scientist, design engineer, and project manager. He has worked on technology development and process plant design for traditional fossil energy and renewable energy projects ranging from plant-based diesel refining to upgrading biogas and landfill gas into renewable fuel. Evan has published many peer-reviewed articles in various industry journals (Energy & Fuels, American Institute of Chemical Engineers, and Chemical Engineering and Processing) and has filed several invention patents for energy-related technologies. Evan has completed a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at the University of North Dakota and B.S. and M.S. degrees in engineering from the University of Wyoming. He is currently based in Texas and enjoys fishing and biking with his family.
